The Infocus North QLD office is locally owned and has grown to become one of the regions leading advisory firms. Our team are situated in Mackay, the Burdekin, Townsville and Cairns and comprise of expertly trained Financial Planners and support staff. We have also built an extensive network of other professionals who are ready to help our clients through any situation.

Adam Woodhouse
Senior Financial Planner / Director

Adam is a Senior Financial Planner and the business owner of Infocus North QLD. Assisting clients to achieve their financial goals is the driving force behind Adam.Â
After several years working in the Financial Planning industry on the Sunshine Coast, Adam’s wife was presented with an opportunity to work and make a difference in the remote township of Weipa, Cape York. A quick Google of region was all that was needed to jump on board and embrace the opportunity. Adam started the Infocus Cape York office shortly after in 2011, building long term relationships with locals who were keen to get ahead financially and who were typically earning the big mining money. After a period of rapid growth, a second office was opened in Cairns where Adam and his family eventually relocated to in 2017.Â
In 2018, the acquisition of the Infocus Townsville and Burdekin office was completed. Further growth and expansion was achieved in 2024 with the additional acquisition of the Infocus Mackay office. We’re proud to continue the legacy of outstanding local service to the regions in which we operate.Â
Outside of work, Adam enjoys fishing, camping and travel with his wife and two beautiful children.

Katie joined Infocus North QLD in 2022, bringing with her over 15 years of professional experience across the tertiary education industry. She is currently completing her Professional Year to become a qualified Financial Planner, having already gained extensive hands-on experience supporting advice delivery and client relationships as a Client Service Manager.
Before transitioning into financial planning, Katie held a number of leadership roles in higher education specialising in business enhancement, stakeholder engagement and client service operations. Her broad skill set, analytical mind and compassionate nature now guide her work in helping clients understand and achieve their financial goals.
Born and raised in North Queensland, Katie returned to Townsville in 2022 to raise her young family. She’s passionate about making financial advice accessible and meaningful, particularly for everyday Australians seeking structure, support and peace of mind.
Away from the desk, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband and children, usually chasing playgrounds, going for walks along the Strand, or finding the best local coffee spots. A keen traveller, she is looking forward to exploring the world again with her family in the years to come.
